Sundays are very quiet in Germany. Shops are closed, starting on Saturday afternoon already in the villages. Walking means that you have to be aware of the possibility for buying food. But the bakery is open in the morning and the cafe’s serve food all day at very reasonable prices. With pints of beer. A temptation I can hardly resist.
Strange thing that every major city I walk into, I walk there on a Sunday. Koblenz, Mainz, Worms, Regensburg. So there is nothing to do. No distractions either. Funny how when walking your senses become more acute and how the noise, images and people in the cities can be overwhelming.
Small wonder it is harder to hear your inner voice, to hear where the path really wants to take you. Listening to luck and coincidence becomes harder still.
